Reiki Attunements in Albion, Illinois
Albion began as an experiment. Every program is an instant digital download, offered as complementary support for relaxation and mindful self-care.
Morris Birkbeck, an English Quaker, and George Flower founded a utopian settlement here in 1817 on ground the wider world first knew as Mr. Morris Birkbeck's English Prairie, and in 1818 the part Flower had settled took a name that is an old poetic word for Britain. The Episcopal congregation established in 1819 was the first Protestant church in the town, meeting in a log cabin until St. John's Episcopal Church was built in 1842 and 1843 from red brick on a foundation of locally quarried stone. It has held regular services since Christmas 1842, making it the oldest surviving Episcopal church in Illinois. It was enlarged in 1879 and 1880, gained its bell tower around then, and keeps a pump organ dating to 1881. The building joined the National Register of Historic Places on February 15, 2012. This is the seat of Edwards County, where Illinois Routes 130 and 15 meet, and 1,971 people lived here at the 2020 census.
Reiki practice is an unregulated complementary field in the US, so requirements vary by state and setting. We recommend checking any local rules that apply to your situation.
Would I need to drive to Mount Carmel or Olney for any part of the training?
No, and there is nothing to drive to in either town. The academy is online only. Your attunement and coursework download the moment you enroll, and you study at home in Edwards County at whatever pace suits you.
