From the Prismatic Reiki Academy blog
Distance Reiki rests on an idea shared by many energy traditions. Energy is not limited by physical space. A trained practitioner can send Reiki to someone in another city. A teacher can also pass an attunement to a student who receives it quietly at home. The articles in this collection explain how distance sessions and distance attunements work. You will learn what the chi ball method is and how Level 2 students learn to send Reiki with the distance symbol. You will also find honest answers to common questions, such as whether you need to feel anything and how long a session usually lasts. Distance Reiki is a complementary practice for relaxation and wellbeing. It is never a substitute for medical care.
