Reiki Attunements in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
The name comes from a berry.
Saskatoon takes its name from the saskatoon berry, and that name derives from the Cree misaskwatomina. The settlement began in 1882 as a strictly dry temperance colony. Methodist settlers from Ontario, led by John Lake, founded it under the Temperance Colonization Society. In 1906 it became a city of about 4,500 people, formed by the amalgamation of Saskatoon, Riversdale and Nutana. The city straddles a bend in the South Saskatchewan River. Its river crossings, commonly counted as seven bridges, are where the City of Bridges nickname comes from. The Delta Bessborough, a castle-like Canadian National Railway hotel opened in 1932, stands on the riverbank. The Meewasin Valley trail network protects the riverbank park spaces. On the city's edge, Wanuskewin Heritage Park preserves roughly 6,000 years of First Nations history. The Broadway Avenue and Nutana district forms the city's bohemian arts hub. The Broadway Theatre, a 1946 Streamline Moderne cinema, is Canada's only community-owned non-profit repertory cinema. Prismatic Academy adds nothing to that map.
Is there anywhere in Saskatoon I can attend in person, or is the whole course online?
No, there is nothing to attend in Saskatoon. Nothing ships to Saskatchewan, so there is no parcel to wait for. You work through the material online from home, whether that is in Nutana or anywhere else in the city. What is taught is complementary support, offered alongside your regular medical care rather than in place of it.
