Reiki Attunements in Regina, Saskatchewan
Before it was named for a queen, this place was called Pile of Bones, an English rendering of the Cree oskana ka-asasteki, meaning bones that are piled, for the buffalo bones left along Wascana Creek.
The Canadian Pacific Railway reached the site in 1882, and Princess Louise, wife of the Governor General, renamed it Regina, Latin for queen. Two dates still carry weight locally: June 30, 1912, when the Regina Cyclone became the deadliest tornado in Canadian history, and July 1, 1935, when the On-to-Ottawa Trek was stopped here. Wascana Lake, the centrepiece of Wascana Centre and one of the largest urban parks in North America, is entirely man-made, dammed out of the creek that gave the city its first name. Depot Division is the only place in Canada where RCMP cadets train, and the community-owned Roughriders give the whole province one shared allegiance in Rider Nation. With roughly 2,357 hours of sunshine a year, the light here holds long enough for coursework you pace entirely yourself.
Do I have to travel to a class somewhere in Regina, or can the whole attunement happen online?
No travel is needed, and no class meets in Regina. Nothing is posted to a Saskatchewan address and nothing is booked in person. You work through the material at your own pace, on a quiet morning or a late evening, whichever suits you. Reiki is offered as complementary support for relaxation and a calmer daily rhythm, and it sits alongside the care of your own health professionals rather than in place of it.
