Reiki Attunements in Vancouver, British Columbia
On September 15, 1971, the first protest voyage of the Don't Make a Wave Committee set out from Vancouver.
Greenpeace grew out of that committee, and the city is its birthplace. The first European settlement in the area dates only to 1862, at McCleery's Farm on the Fraser River, and incorporation followed on April 6, 1886, under the name of British Royal Navy Captain George Vancouver, who charted the coast in 1792. CPR president William Van Horne chose that name. Just over two months after incorporation, the Great Vancouver Fire of June 13, 1886 razed most of the wooden city, which was quickly rebuilt in brick and stone. It is now the most densely populated city in Canada, at over 5,700 people per square kilometre. Stanley Park, the largest park in the city at about 400 hectares, is ringed by a seawall billed as the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path. Gastown, the original city core, is known for its cobblestone streets and a landmark steam clock, and Granville Island, a former industrial district, is now a leading arts and culture hub with a public market, galleries and theatres.
Do I need to be online at a set hour in Vancouver to receive an attunement?
No. Nothing runs on a clock, so the hour showing in Vancouver never decides when you can begin. There is no live class to attend, no in-person session anywhere, and nothing physical crosses the border, so there is no package to wait for and no customs to clear. Study before a walk on the Stanley Park seawall, or long after it. Reiki is offered as complementary support for relaxation, and it is not a substitute for medical care.
