Inside a Prismatic Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath
By Rev. Michael Allison · June 27, 2026
Our recent crystal singing bowl sound bath brought a small group together for an hour of rest, stillness, and gentle sound. Guests settled onto mats while Rev. Michael Allison played a set of tuned crystal bowls, each one paired with soft, color changing light.

What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a group session where you lie down, close your eyes, and let layered tones wash over you. There is nothing to learn and nothing to perform. You simply rest while the bowls do the work.
Crystal singing bowls produce long, even tones. People often describe the sound as something they feel in the body as much as hear. The practice is traditionally used to quiet a busy mind and support deep relaxation.
What this session was like
We kept the room warm and low lit, with each guest tucked under a blanket. Colored light moved slowly across the space as the tones rose and faded. Over the hour, the room grew very quiet and very still.
Many guests shared afterward that they felt calm, grounded, and lighter than when they arrived. Some drifted into that soft space between waking and sleep. A sound bath may support stress relief and better rest, and it pairs well with a regular meditation or Reiki practice.

Who a sound bath is for
Sound baths welcome everyone. You do not need any experience with meditation or energy work. They are a gentle fit for anyone carrying stress, anyone curious about holistic wellness, and anyone who wants a quiet hour to reset.

We host sound baths and other holistic wellness events through the year. Seats are limited so each group stays small and personal.
